Over the past 29 years of service, CFSA has successfully advocated for school administrators in Connecticut.  We have a strong affiliation with our parent group, the American Federation of School Administrators. (AFSA) located in Washington D.C.  As a member of the American Federation of School Administrators, we receive a host of services, benefits and insurances, including a million dollar occupational liability protection.  As a member of AFSA we also benefit from a strong national network.

We believe that due to CFSA's commitment to school administrators, Connecticut remains at the forefront of educational excellence with the highest remuneration and the best working conditions for school administrators.

Today, school administrators have one of the most difficult jobs in the country.  Everyone thinks they know better than we, on "how to do our job".  The constant bombardment from critics is very demoralizing to our profession.  Our critics want us to do MORE, with LESS, and of course--- on time!

In this 21st Century we face numerous ongoing problems.  Our nation is under attack, and our economy is in Recession.  Consequently costly improvement in schools will become more difficult; money will be redirected to the military and security efforts; more and more unemployed persons will enter our profession through alternative certification routes; privatization schemes, subcontracting of educational services, charters schools and vouchers are all intensifying, which unfortunately diverts public education spending.

We have a lot on our professional plate, but together we can successfully address these issues.

ALL teachers are members of the CEA or CT-AFT AFL-CIO.  Shouldn't we have the same protection teachers enjoy as members of their professional organizations?  School administrators need to be organized to protect their rights.

We are asking that you and your colleagues consider joining the new CFSA.  Together we can advance our professional standing.  Divided we will all suffer.  The anticipated cuts in budgets will stress each district and endanger all positions.  The impact on school systems will be horrific.  CFSA is ready to work with you.  There is nothing to be in these times by going it alone.

CFSA is a strong organization which stands ready to represent you and your interests at a moments notice.  We are here for YOU.  Won't you and your district administrators consider joining the only professional group that represents your interests, by negotiating salaries commensurate with your responsibilities, securing fringe benefits, insurance and safe working conditions, and provide you with legal services and valuable advice.

Support is only a phone call away!
